My brother Jeff and I agreed to put our Mom on Hospice a couple weeks ago. Neither Jeff or I are sad about this!!!
The only thing that makes me sad is that we were once a group of four yes’s and we our now down to two yes’s regarding this decision. My Mom is actually loving hospice and Jeff and I are now wondering why we dragged out feet for so long. Our Mom is getting a ton of attention and feels like a Queen!
I have to acknowledge that the photo’s come from my Mom’s former next door neighbor who is amazing about visiting our mom and taking “party pics”. She truly is awesome in every way.
I love that she looks happy, has her nails done and is wearing the new Spring jumpsuit line from Buck and Buck. They are my go to for all things Alzheimer’s regarding clothing. I researched online stores for a week and Buck and Buck is by far the standout and they sew the name in the garment for free!!! This is a one piece ensemble that zips up the back. I selected bright colors and they weren’t kidding 🙂

Hi, Jennifer-
I’m glad this move isn’t making you sad – I have seen hospice nurses at work, and I imagine the individual attention IS noticed by the patients. And your mom does still look amazing!
Looks like you have your hands full, as has always seemed to be the case!
Take care,
Emily
